1. Spiritual
Credo
Television will have a priority on the production
of spiritual programming, proclaiming without
apologies the divinity of Jesus Christ, His virgin
birth, His sinless life on earth, His atoning
death, His resurrection in the body, His ascension
to heaven, His present ministry as Mediator between
God the Father and mankind, and His victorious
second coming. We will clearly state that because
of disobedience man is lost and called to return
under God's authority through repentance and faith
in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the only way
to salvation. We will encourage unity of all Christians
who are part of the Church - the Body of Christ.
We will especially pay attention to the institution
of family and its role as the basic unit of society
in the form intended by God - its Creator. 2. Social
In Romania there is a great need for this kind
of programming, as we are in a transition that
created unexpected "values". Young people
in particular are affected by on one hand, the
past experience of communism and the instincts
of survival, and on the other hand by the new
capitalistic system of succeeding at all cost.
Romanian society is exposed to many extreme, unrealistic
and contradicting standards of success. The alternative
that we want to present is a mentality of success
based on hard work, honesty, creativity, perseverance,
sacrifice and compassion. We want to emphasize
production for children and youth encouraging
them to stay in school, accept a high standard
of morality and participating constructively in
the social spectrum. |
3. Cultural
True
culture has become a victim in our transitional
society. With 23 million Romanians living in the
country of Romania and approximately 10 million
in Diaspora, Credo Television is presenting itself
as the promoter of authentic cultural values,
Romanian and universal, music or poetry, but always
Christian in identity, content and expression.
As created by God, man is body, soul and spirit.
Even as we might be perceived as a television
with spiritual connotations, Credo will not neglect
health programming, addressing the wholeness of
our being. Documentaries, talk shows, news and
informational presentations, all will contribute
to an extensive area of interest. We understand
that we cannot cover all preferences, and some
viewers will not appreciate our values. Regardless,
Credo Television will be the alternative to the
commercially aggressive and of moral relativism
choices dominating today's media. We already established
connections with major Christian televisions around
the world, especially in the United States. All
English language programming will be subtitled
in Romanian, thus keeping the original audio.
That will be relevant not only to the Romanian
speaking segment of our viewers but to many English
speaking people in our satellite coverage area
throughout Europe. |
